Greetings lads.
MB bit subdued tonight. Been long tiring week. Thank God it’s over and weekend is upon us. MB needs break. Thank God it’s Thursday, as we never say back home.

Enchanting HX & the enchanted lake. With pin marker on the football pitches.

It’s about time MB welcomed all the new followers to MB’s blog. Was a time when MB knew every recipient personally, but no longer the case for long time back. MB refers to followers as Crossers. On account of the fact that MB hails from a little place back in Ireland called Holycross, or HX for short, and most of the original followers also hailed from HX. Not even a village. Just a crossroads in rural South West Ireland. A heavenly and mythical place. Go visit if you ever get the chance. You’ll be pleased.

HX will not disappoint. It’s enchanting and enchanted. MB is not joking. It’s seriously enchanted. With a magic lake where a long dead Earl rises from the lake bottom every seven years to ride his white horse on the lake surface. And will continue to do so until the four silver shoes on the horses feet wear away to nothing. And strange things happen when that Earl appears. If you thought walking on water only happened in the Bible you would be seriously mistaken. It also happens in HX. Every seven years. And that time is upon us. So be careful if you travel back there. Anything can and does happen.

Anyway, all most welcome to the HX blog, and feel free to send anything of interest to MB for inclusion. The weekly format has changed somewhat over time, but MB has no hard and fast rules. Bit like the English language itself, MB’s blog is fluid and moving and could land somewhere new today or next week or whenever. And revert back just as quick. Or go off on a new tangent altogether. So feel free to open you mouths loudly. Or not. MB also has much respect for the silent types. Silence is golden. Especially when you are tired and weary after long tiring week.

As many long-time Crossers aware, MB switched to this blog website about one year back. And went over the century of posts last week. Many are just the single photo posts on the three occasions per week that MB does that kind of stuff, and Thursday/Friday sees the main effort with all the savage writing and great words and the awesome wit. Etc.

Guess it’s all good example of how cruel life can be lads. Despite the brilliance MB is still working construction, and unlike Eg. The Dimwit Diary blog, has yet to make the first six dollars in advert revenue. The HX blog is as yet unrecognised by the great and the good. Which just goes to show how stupid the great and the good really are. No invites to world conferences for MB. No requests to be speech writer for famous people or even unfamous people. Even the donkeys of the world are not calling MB to Eg. write their CV (or ‘Resume’ as the Yankee dogs say).

CNN and Sky do not yet appreciate the HX blog. But when it does happen lads, when MB finally breaks into the limelight, it will be akin to all those dozy record producers that received U2’s first demo tape, listened for 2 minutes before chucking it into the nearest bin. Few years later they were all going – f*ck me pink, y oh f*kin y did I throw it in the bin, and not offer a few miserly bucks or even a Kentucky Fried Chicken dinner to the boys to sign on the dotted line. Yes Siree, Bono and the lads were hungry as hell back then and would have taken the guys arm off if he offered a contract for anything that was finger lickin’ good. MB will have the last laugh for sure. Ha ha ha.

MB went to a horse riding school last weekend. Not to ride horses. But just to mooch around and take a few pics. So that’s what MB is giving you this week. Pics from the horse riding school in North Riyadh, Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia, Planet Earth. Savage.

Lot of publicity out these parts in recent weeks about a planned day of action by ladies who intend to drive cars in defiance of the law. They are not allowed to do so in the Kingdom – in case you didn’t know. They had Facebook page which was being used to plan the day of revolt. Had. But the authorities closed it down and now access denied. The ladies are still planning to drive however and the show goes on. A leading Muslim cleric caused a right storm this week with his medical analysis and reasoning why the little ladies should not be allowed to drive. He has become laughing stock amongst certain section of the population. But MB notices many comments even in Dubai newspapers who consider any attack or negative comment on the Sheikh as an attack on the religion. Strange thinking indeed, if you are not of these parts. But the ME is not the West. Or the East, or the North or the South. So take a look, if you will, at what Sheikh Saleh al-Lohaidan has to say about the female pelvis and ovaries and such like:

MB just took 30 minute break to pop into Pakistani barber down the street for the Nr 2 all over – kol itneen – as MB was able to instruct Pakistani cutter lad, who hadn’t a word of English. But all’s well that ends well. MB looks like real egg head, and MB’s head is buzzing after head message administered by Pakistani cutter/message lad. Euro 2 for the cut & message and Euro 2 for the tip. Happy Pakistani cutter/message lad.

MB will be back in HX next week. Already planning the photo shoot of the charity horse ride around the HX lake on Saturday. Awesome pics assured. Few other events on as well when MB is home so should be a crack. Anyone fancies a beer Friday night MB may very well be in the HX bar telling tall tales about his travels in the Arab lands. And drinking well-deserved cold beer or two or three after few months in the parching Arabian desert. MB can taste the sweet nectar already. Almost.

Will be too busy to do the awesome blogs when home but will post up some savage pics on daily basis. Photo Of The Day or some such, to keep Crossers happy and stop revolt or flight to less deserving blog sites. MB loves his followers, like a shepherd his flock. And tends to their needs. Even when he is on hols back home. Even after long tiring week.

Must mention Crosser TH – aka MB Wannabee TH. TH messaged MB last week to inform that MB’s recent trip to Sri Lanka and all the awesome writing and pics had proved pivotal moment in life of TH. TH decided he too would head to SL to seek his inner self. So off he headed today in search of the grail. Live long and prosper TH. May your search be fruitful. And inshallah TH you will have some tales for Crossers upon your return. Inshallah. Come back safe TH.

Think that’s about it for this week lads. Was too busy to get up to any mischief. So not much to tell you all in this post. Just hum drum days and hum drum ways for most part. But roll on next weekend when MB touches down on the emerald isle. Radar on and camera safety catch switched to off. Let the crack begin.
